in the studio

this week's been full of something i can quite put my finger on. that something that leaves me fighting back tears in the line at the grocery store & while making dinner at home.

so i cleaned my studio & brought in some of my favorite things- a floral chest, a handmade banner, a worn quilt made by my great grandmother & a bouquet of flowers from the garden.

i hope i can soon get back into the rhythm of life & its ups & downs.

xo. sounds like you're at least finding some good things to keep you busy during these rough times.

cry when you need and let it out! and cleaning the studio with all the things that remind you of why you love life is wonderful!!

oh natalie, I wish I could hug you right now! The last time I had this kind of thing happen I told Steven we are going out, let's go! (as I fought back tears). For me at the time, getting out of the house, breathing some fresh air, doing some mindless thrifting, talking about things completely outside of the subjects of work and projects and all the things that make life seem so busy and complicated sometimes... as simple as it all was it really helped.

Good luck! I loathe those weeks. I am loving the banner hanging from the ceiling in your studio, though!

what a beautiful little studio! I know that thing you're talking about. I hope it goes quickly. just know that though you are in a new place, people all over the country love you! I miss you dearly, sweet friend.

you will.. it just takes time. The first few months of a big move always get to me like this too. But, your work space is as serene and relaxing as your usual blog posts, so I know you are still in there somewhere. love it!
