winter time.

Traveling around Europe after graduating high school, my mom purchased a film camera that she has now passed down to me. After moving to Kansas City this summer, my parents found a tiny camera shop where they bought me a beautiful lens for the camera. Starting my New Year's resolution early, I've made an effort to make a few photos around my house. I hope to use my camera more & more.
It is really inspiring to read A Year of Mornings (given to me by my mom for Christmas) because of the simplicity captured in these photographs during my favorite time of day. I recommend this book to anyone!

My parents stayed the night last night & it was a very enjoyable time. I made taco soup from Simply In Season (also a gift from my mom) for dinner & whole wheat pancakes this morning. My mom & I were able to spend some time together; she taught me how to use my new sewing machine. I'm so excited to make beautiful things for friends & family & myself, of course.

love,
Natalie
