busy at the table & a blossoms and billows giveaway

our wooden table is buzzing this time of year with christmas card writing, list making, book reading, meal sharing & moments in-between.

today i am gift wrapping on our dearly loved table, one of my very favorite parts of the holiday season.

i believe a package should be just as beautiful as what's inside, don't you?

you know my love for clipboards. we hang calendars from our thrifted clipboards & trade expensive frames for them.

i've shared this idea once before, but i thought we could all use a little refresher.

if you're looking for a little inexpensive gift idea for the holidays, blossoms and billows' prints are just perfect.

i recently ordered aubrey's  family monogram print for our home & thought what a wonderful gift it might be for the other little families close to us!

& if you're in need of a quick gift, you can even order her prints as instant downloads! at just $8, you can gift your entire lady tribe with a fun print on a clipboard! i especially love this one.

to make your gift special, gather supplies you already have on hand. tie a bow around your print & chalkboard. tie a tag onto your goodies & gift it! so simple, festive & happy!

total cost: $9 ($8 for the print, $1 for the clipboard)

sweet aubrey is also offering an amazing giveaway of $100 to her shop! that's 11 prints from her shop that you can keep or gift to others! yay!

to enter, simply:
1. check out the blossoms and billows shop.
2. follow blossoms and billows on ig @blossomsnbillows or like her Facebook page.
3. comment below with your email address & a creative wrapping idea!

i will pick a random winner next wednesday, december 17th, at 8am cst!

happy winning, friends!
love,
natalie

p.s. use code "zinnia" for 25% off your order in the blossoms and billows shop! yay!

I am wrapping-challenged, so my most creative wrapping idea is bribing my husband with cookies to do my gift-wrapping for me :)

For small things I like to use vintage or modern hankies and a bit of ribbon, lace, or rick rack. Larger things (especially for my kids!) I love using craft paper or paper grocery bags inside out. When one child is gifting to another they will decorate the package. A bright or metallic paint pen is simple and fun to write the name. A bit of greenery for the topper and it's done!

I don't like to wrap, so I often try to come up with unique boxes that I paint and use interesting ribbon.

Fingers crossed:

I think it's fun to wrap with unique paper and then get creative on the bows/ accessories! I found some vintage ornaments that I tied on with baker's twine and handmade tags this year.

I like to wrap with brown postage paper. A huge roll is only $1! Then your options are endless- wrap with some raffia, stamp, add the name in gold sharpie! It's wonderful, and cheap!

I love everything!!!! The Julia Child quote is my fave! My favorite wrapping tip is to use vintage lace, trims, etc. I also like to get postage tags from Staples and give them a coffee/cinnamon bath to age them a bit, then gussy them up with vintage postcard images for whatever holiday, and glitter!

This year, I made laundry bags for all of my nieces and nephews and wrapped their gifts in those. They are getting to the age of sleepovers, and I thought that a laundry bag would be useful :)

Hello! I wrap our presents in brown kraft paper and use chunky red or green yarn with homemade pompoms! We stopped using tags a few years ago when one of our little ones pulled them off of all the presents and we had to play the guessing game and hope we remembered what was for who! So, now we just write the to,from with a red or green marker.

I'm not super creative either, so when it comes to wrapping I usually go pretty basic. For a print on a clipboard though, I like the idea of putting ribbon through the hole in the top and tying a homemade bow. I think a big, handmade bow would look really nice :)

What an awesome print! One of my creative wrapping ideas is making homemade tags. I die cut tags with my mom, and then use them on birthday and Christmas gifts. If they are for family I steal them back and reuse them! I have tags from my mom that I've been receiving my whole life on gifts! I love the memories and the sustainability. Plus there are some really cute designs you can do! Sarahshepherd963 @ gmail. Com

I'm usually pretty last minute with wrapping! I try to keep things simple with a cute bow, or fun wrapping paper! This year we'll be using big bows for weirdly shaped items- especially since our son can't really unwrap quite yet! Love all the prints! Mdhamm521@gmail.com

I'm glad I'm not the only one who is not very creative with their wrapping. I like the butcher paper idea . . . brown paper packages tie up with string. :)
