happy mail & a giveaway!

gifts from sweet sara
each time when i open the mailbox & find a beautifully wrapped package inside, i am thankful for this little community. "happy mail" - as we call it - is the simple act of sending a package to someone, perhaps you've never met, just because. these women - blog readers, instafriends, old friends, people i swear we would be best friends if we lived closer - brighten my day with their sweet generosity & handmade goodness.

each happy mail package is incredibly well-crafted & created to fit the unique personality of it's recipient. i  love taking the time to find items at thrift shops & flea markets & making things that these dear friends would love. it's just because so really, there's no pressure. it's simply about bringing a bit of happy to another's day!

below are a handful of happy mail packages i have received in the last few months!

a beautiful package from talented sherrie

a bright & happy package from khrista
a surprise gift from anne-sophie
amazing happy mail from my talented friend, abby
handmade pillow goodness from my dear friend, tori
sweet little note from amy
whether it's a simple card or a handmade gift, happy mail connects people together & brings about a whole lot of joy.

i would love to share the joy & gift a happy mail package to one of my readers. comment below with your name & email address. i will pick a winner at random & announce the lucky person on friday morning. happy winnings! happy mailing!

love,
natalie

I love mail. Last year I got myself a pen pal through the Letter Writers Alliance, and she has been the biggest blessing. Now I send cards and letters to friends and family all the time -- such a sweet surprise! I'd love to get something from you.

I've discovered your blog just recently, but I can't miss this. One of my 2013 resolutions is to exchange more snail mail... I had a lot of penfriends when I was a teenager and loved it, but then email came, which is great but I miss getting letters in my mailbox.

Ahhh I love 'real' mail! And I love looking in the mailbox to see if I got any happy mail! It's more fun to receive something hand written and decorated than an e-mail. I have just found your blog and I think it's darling! I love how you edit your pics and your posts!

Hi Natalie! I'm usually such a lurker because I squeeze in my blog roll during the little one's nap or late at night and I tell myself I have no time to comment. Not true! Thanks for giving me the needed nudge. And I would love to receive happy mail form you! :)

I became inspired by Sara's mention of Happy Mail. Then when I received a Christmas card with a "you are beautiful" sticker from her I just HAD to get some for myself to send to my friends! So I've sent out at least 25 letters, cards, pictures & "you are beautiful" stickers to friends and family. What joy it gives me to bless them :) It is just so much fun!!!
