amaginarium usa corkboard giveaway!

confession: i am holiday decorating obsessed.

since owning our home, i have looked forward to decorating our mantel for the holidays. twinkle lights & glittery reindeer? check! fall leaves & bright orange pumpkins? check! patriotic happy flags in old blue mason jars? check!

so of course when amanda, one of my sweet blog supporters, of amaginarium messaged me to offer a giveaway on the blog, i squealed in delight. people, my fourth of july mantel is usa pride aaaamazing. this usa corkboard is so cute! (luke even likes it!)

the usa corkboard came with a lovely little pack of arrows to pin onto the map. i added two blue arrows to ours - one to our sweet northwest arkansas home & another to our lovely college town of columbia, missouri.

she even sweetened the deal with that adorable corkboard arkansas sticker.

this map is perfect for the littles learning usa geography. get the kiddos involved by adding arrows to relatives' hometowns! it's also a fun tool for planning roadtrips & vacations! there are endless possibilities.

after the fourth of july is over, i plan to hang my little corkboard map in our creative corner. i am slowly working on this space, adding a big table for spreading out our creative projects & hanging art on the wall for inspiration. this map would also look darling in a guest bedroom for vistors to add arrows to where they live or a homeschooling corner in your home.

above is a little visual of how i hung the corkboard map - fabric ribbon, a bit of pom pom yarn to add spunk & hot glue. easy peasy, friends!

as always, our giveaways are super easy. to enter to win a map of your choice (this one, this one, or this one), simply:

1. visit amanda's shop - amaginarium
2. leave a comment with your email address
3. within your comment, share how you would use your usa map!

i'll choose a random winner on monday, june 23rd, & include the winner's name here.

can't wait to win? amanda is offering 25% off to natalie creates readers in her shop. just enter "STARSNSTRIPES" at checkout!

This so trumps our laminated map in our patriotic room! I would hang it right next to our American flag and our military photos....my husband is in the Naval Reserves. Not only would our grandchildren have an opportunity to learn their states, but our children can each use a separate color marker to mark the states they have visited! Yeah for this amazing cork map....and yeah for you young gals who have generous hearts! borowski@prtel.com

Natalie and Amanda,

This is such an extraordinary piece! I love corkboards and maps, so this one had me speechless! I was an exchange student in Southwestern Missouri (five years ago, seems like an eternity), and was changed completely by that experience. I fell head over heels in love with an entire country and it's people, came back to visit two times, and now it's been two years since I last touched American soil. My heart is acheing to go back, but my college-emptied wallet is just laughing at me like "Nope, not gonna happen.". Not a day goes by where I don't think about the amazing people I met, the exciting things I ate and drank and the love I felt.
#1 on my bucket list is to visit all 50 U.S. states, and I would love to use the map (the one featured in your blog post with the black outline and the state names in it) to keep track of the states I have visited so far. I'd probably add a little snapshot I took in that state, too, and hang it over my desk to keep me motivated to do my best in College so I can return real soon.

Lots of love from across the big pond! -Franzi

I would choose the usa map with the state names! My two year old daughter is obsessed with maps already. She insists that we sit under the one on the subway everyday and traces her little fingers along all the routes (she's even memorized where home and church is). I know she would love to see where we live now in relation to where we moved from and all the places our loved ones live throughout the country. We have plans to put up tons of maps on the wall above our dining room table and this would probably and with all of it!

Hi, Natalie! I am a 16 year old from a small town in South Texas, so where I've grown up, life is a bit dry. (Literally - it's Texas.) Ever since 2007, I have been babysitting, house cleaning, and helping with office work wherever I can so I can earn extra money. My parents allow me to use that money to go out and see the world. So far, I have gone to New Mexico, Georgia, Virginia, Washington DC, Maryland and many, many other places in Texas. This summer, I will be traveling to New York, Greece and Rome. I would use this map to pinpoint the places I have travelled within the US, as a reminder of how hard work can pay off. I have a large, empty wall in my room that I would hang this map on. I hope you consider me for this giveaway. Thanks, Natalie! :) julierakowitz@gmail.com

Howdy!! I am currently in school at Texas A&M to become a middle school social studies and language arts teacher first in Dallas, and then I hope to take my teaching career overseas, Lord willing. Teaching is my dream and passion and I am always seeking ways to make learning more enjoyable. The unlabeled U.S. map would be GREAT for my future students! I would love to see them "pin" states that they want to travel to or attend college in, or have visited in the past... I could also use it as a study tool and have them pin the state names or geographic features onto it! I am ecstatic at the possibilities :) Thank you for consideration!! And for introducing me to this Etsy account!!

I loooove those cork boards! I've lived in 7 states and have friends and family scattered all over, so it'd be fun to tag meaningful spots on the map, and plan trips to visit them! Although it's a tough call between the plain map and the state's names, I think I'd go for the state's names map.
