the honaker homemaker giveaway + my gallery wall in the works

i absolutely love supporting small artists, bloggers & makers on my blog. hands down, it's in my top ten list of fave things about this space.

so when lauren of the honaker homemaker contacted me about featuring her string art "create" sign, i squealed in delight. the word "create" means so much to me & her work is absolutely stunning.

also, i just so happen to have the perfect spot for her piece within my home...

we're working on a family wall gallery in the hallway leading to the bedrooms. it's just a wee bit awkward at the moment as it only features photos of luke & me (incredible, beautiful photos by my gal pal nikki of nikki toth photography, that is!)

side note: you people with the littles are lucky. framing photos of your chillins is totally acceptable. thirty-four photos of our faces? *uncomfortable*

we're working on it.

collecting photos of our extended family, that is. ahem.

but i just can't tell you how excited i was to add my little create sign to our gallery wall. it's just the perfect pop of color & compliments my painted frames so well.

& for one lucky reader, you can take home this beauty, too!

the honaker homemaker is giving away one string art "create" sign to one lucky reader!

it's oh so simple.

1. grab a cup of coffee & browse the honaker homemaker shop!
2. like the honaker homemaker on facebook or ig @thehonakerhome
3. leave a comment below with your email address sharing your favorite product from lauren's shop & how you would feature it in your home!

i'll pick a random winner at 8 am cst on wednesday, september 10th.

happy winning, friends!
love,
natalie

p.s. get your shop on right now with the code "CREATE20" for 20% off your purchase!

I think the signs are a really neat idea. I've seen thread art before, but not as a sign. I love the shade of yellow on the thankful sign and, really, what a lovely Christmas present it would make.

I LOVE her "create" sign! It was the first I'd ever seen of her work about a month ago, and I fell in LOVE. I'd have to put this above my computer desk, as I dabble in graphic design. :)

I loved the blessed & thankful & signs. Either would make a great gift!

I want to comment on your gallery wall with all the photographs of you on it. :o) I love my gallery wall & I have two 'vintage' school photographs of my husband & me when were about 6 yrs old - my old school pic framed beside his. It gets some of the best comments & laughs of any of the pics on my wall! We didn't know each other then but they're fun to look at (taken in the 1960's!) What's really fun is to see our son's pic at about the same age along side ours. It's fun to see the old pics of us & the old b&Ws of our ancestors along side the current wedding pics of my son & daughter-in-law & the fun artwork that I love. I even change them out for holidays. At Christmas I change the family pics to pictures of family Christmas' from the past.

As you can see I love gallery walls & yours is beautiful!

I cant pick which I like better the create sign or the Acronym hummingbird sign. I would use the create sign right above what I call my craft corner (we don't have a room for me, yes its a corner). The acronym would go on our entryway wall!

Candice said...

I absolutely love the string art signs that have your last name. I would hang that about the picture of our daughters. Or maybe above my bed...hmmm....lots of ways to use that one! Candice.melton@hotmail.com

I love the combo of stained wood and colorful string. I fell in love with the "grateful" sign. I would put it on my mantle in the middle of my new home. A good reminder of how I want to live my life. Love you, Nats.

LOVE her string art state sign! 95 percent of my art incorporates a map, something from somewhere I've traveled or my home state of North Carolina, so this would go perfectly in just about any room.

Wow, I love your photo wall! I don't think there is anything wrong with featuring photos of you and your husband. Maybe because me and mine have the same thing going on; walls of photos of just us. ;)

What a great giveaway! I love the string art color and textures. A great statement for our wall of art and photos.

I would display this beautiful sign with my collection of vintage landscape artwork on my wall in the great room. kahwingate@yahoo.com

My favorite is the personalized sign with est date! I have the perfect place on my main wall in my living room. It's the first wall anyone sees when they enter my home. She is so creative! Taaynes@yahoo.com

I am obsessed with the fox. It's so adorable! I don't think I'd be able to keep it for myself, though. A good friend of mine is a teacher and her name is Ms. Fox. How perfect would that be in her classroom?! I've actually been debating whether or not to order it for her. That discount code is making it very tempting...

P.S. I know EXACTLY how you feel about the gallery wall. I haven't found a way to tackle one yet without having pictures of anyone else to put up. It's a relief to know I'm not the only one who's hit that roadblock :)

What a beautiful piece! Thanks for featuring it. My favorites from her shop are the create piece and would also love a custom state one!! We live in a one bedroom, so space is limited, but this would fit perfectly on a bookcase and would be a lovely reminder to take time each day to be creative. :)

~Lovely little signs...such a unique way to display meaningful words. I really like the CREATE sign, but I also noticed that Lauren makes custom signs. A sign with the word "READ" would be perfect to display in my daughters room. She would love all the color choices. She is quite the bookworm and devours book after book :)

create! that sign is fabulous!!! we are always talking to our kids and so often the word 'create' comes up! we talk to them about creating opportunity in their lives to help others and to be a friend- that is just one example. this is so meaningful and the colors are perfection. love everything about it. and i have two places i think about it going- the playroom we are working on adding and above the family desk in the family room!

Today? The "thankful" string art jumped out at me. I'm really trying to focus on giving thanks all day long.

And to comment on your darling gallery wall. Try doing it as a single girl! For sure I don't have photos of just me. That would be weird.
